"Dancing Through The Decades": A Night of Celebration, Unity, and Community Support

(May 2024—Daytona Beach, Florida) – The dance floor was electrified, the music was infectious, and the community spirit was undeniable as "Dancing Through The Decades" lit up the night on Friday, April 26, 2024. Hosted by Council on Aging of Volusia County, Inc., this annual dance event brought together 400 guests for an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and charitable giving.

 

Eveline Kraljic, COA’s Co-Executive Director, states “Council on Aging of Volusia County extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the outstanding success of this event, and we look forward to continuing our journey of service and support for years to come.”

 

"Dancing Through The Decades" is not just an event; it's a celebration of the rich history of music and dance spanning various eras. Attendees experience a journey through time, enjoying themed décor and a vibrant atmosphere that pays homage to different decades of music and dance. The event always promises to be an unforgettable night of entertainment and nostalgia.

Through sponsorships, ticket sales, and auctions, this event raised close to $50,000.00 that Council on Aging of Volusia County, Inc. will use to provide assistance such as Meals on Wheels, In-Home Services, and more to some of the most vulnerable seniors in our area. These services enable so many seniors to remain safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. The overwhelming support from our sponsors and guests demonstrates the power of community collaboration and the collective impact we can achieve when we come together for a common cause.

 


Established in 1967, Council on Aging of Volusia, Inc. (COA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of our most vulnerable elderly citizens by providing needed services that enable them to remain safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes.
